Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Canvas & Code LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) website (the “Site”), as well as your registration for and participation in our classes, programs, workshops, and events (collectively, the “Services”). By
using our Site or registering for our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or Services.
Eligibility
• You must be at least 18 years old to register yourself or a child for Services.
• Parents or legal guardians are responsible for registering minors and providing accurate information.
Registration and Accounts
• All class registrations and payments are processed through our third-party provider, Sawyer. By registering, you also agree to Sawyer’s terms and policies.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
• We reserve the right to cancel or refuse registration for any reason, including inappropriate conduct or failure to comply with these Terms.
Payments
• Full payment is required at the time of registration and will be collected online.
• For drop-in or last-minute registrations, payment must be made in person with a credit or debit card before attending class.
• Please note: Canvas & Code does not accept cash or checks at this time and does not keep any cash on the premises.
• All payments are processed securely through Sawyer. We do not store payment card details.
Cancellations and Refunds
Multi-Week Sessions & Week-Long Camps
• Fully refundable up to 7 days before the start date (minus a 4% processing fee)
• Option to switch to another Multi-Week session or Week-Long camp offered up to 7 days before the first class.
• No refunds for cancellations, or options to switch if made less than 7 days before the first class.
Single Classes & Day Camps
• Fully refundable up to 5 days before the class (minus a 4% processing fee)
• Option to switch to another Single class offered up to 48-hours before the class.
• No switching within 48 hours of the class start time as supplies are already prepped.
If We Cancel a Class
• We deserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class or event due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances.
• In such cases, you will receive a full refund.
Participation and Conduct
We reserve the right to remove any participant from a class or event for disruptive or unsafe behavior, without refund. Participants are expected to be respectful of the studio, instructors, classmates, and our shared class time. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, as it affects the experience and safety of all participants.
Examples of disruptive behavior include (but are not limited to):
• Threatening language of any kind
• Physical aggression such as hitting, biting, pinching, or shoving
• Breaking or intentionally damaging studio supplies or property
• Repeated teasing or insults after being asked to stop
• Leaving the classroom or building without a parent or instructor
If a participant or parent/guardian is disruptive to the learning environment:
1. We will have a conversation with the student and/or parents/guardians to seek a resolution.
2. If the behavior continues, then the participant or parent/guardian will be dismissed from the class immediately and may not be allowed to register for another class at Canvas & Code.
3. A refund will be issued for any remaining classes in the session or camp, not including the class with disruptive behavior.
Our studio has zero tolerance for bullying, harassment, or intimidation. We are committed to maintaining a space that is safe, inclusive, and welcoming to all. Artists of all ages will be encouraged to appreciate each other’s work and support one another through positive, respectful
interactions.
Intellectual Property
• All content on the Site, including text, images, graphics, logos, and class materials, is the property of Canvas & Code LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use our content without prior written permission.
• Artwork or projects created by participants during our Services belong to the participant, although we may request permission to photograph or display them for promotional purposes.
Health and Safety
• You agree to comply with any health, safety, or facility guidelines provided by Canvas & Code LLC.
• All medical, health, illness and medication guidelines are provided on the Health and Safety Policy.
• By participating in our Services, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with art and STEAM-based activities, including use of tools, materials, and technology.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canvas & Code LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or participation in our Services.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable Service.
Indemnification
By registering with Canvas & Code, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Canvas & Code LLC, its owners, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Site or
participation in our Services.
Third-Party Services
Our Site may include links or integrations with third-party platforms such as Sawyer and Wix. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Continued use of the Site or Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
